“Suspicious activity” report lands 2 in jail
Two Pierre women will face drug charges after police say they were caught with illegal drugs and equipment used to consume them.
Pierre police Capt. Jason Jones said Pierre officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 600 block of West Dakota Avenue at about 1:53 p.m. Wednesday. When they arrived, officers found two women, Amanda Bonrud, 38, and Abrea Rodda, 28, who had drug paraphernalia and narcotics, Jones said.
Both Bonrud and Rodda were placed under arrest, Jones said, and taken to the Hughes County Jail. Charges for Rodda included possession of drugs and paraphernalia, distribution of drugs and maintaining a place where drugs are kept or sold. Bonrud was charged with possession of drugs, using drugs and selling drugs.
